Week 5 - GAME update

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the progress I was hoping to this coming week as the three-hour training I was signed up for has been postponed. Our superintendent will be coming to our school to address our faculty and that of a neighboring school. I was really bummed. I've also been bumped out of the computer lab I signed up for due to a change in the state testing schedule. So, I won't be able to get my students in there until after Winter Break. I'm going to have to take a deep breath and regroup.

  1. Sherry,

How unfortunate about the postponement of the training course and your displacement in the computer lab! I hope they reschedule the training at a time when you can attend. Does your school have COWS that you could use in place of going to the computer lab? Taking a deep breath and regrouping sounds like a good plan. Don’t fret over the things you cannot change! It is just a bump in the road.

  2. Sherry,
Take a deep breath. It will be ok. We all have setbacks, unexpected cancellations, in addition to schedule changes. There is nothing wrong with re-grouping. We all have to do it at some point. Take care!

  3. Sherry,

As I've been reminded by "several" colleagues in the past, as I've been about to go over the edge for exactly the same reasons, flexibility is key. (Just keep saying to yourself... eventually you'll start to maybe think it could possibly one day be somewhat true! LOL) Good luck to you, Sherry! I can certainly relate to your frustration!

  4. Sherry,
I hope your superintendent is not bringing bad news. I am surprised the State changed the testing schedule.

Winter break will be a perfect time to get your plans fine tuned. Don't stress as I tell myself just breathe!
